When it comes to finding the perfect reusable water bottle for kids, parents often face a dilemma. They want a bottle that is original, good-looking, healthy, leak-proof, and attractive to their children. That's where IQBottles, designed by Peter Hanuska and Miroslav Pavelka, come in.
Four years ago, after extensive research on the market of reusable bottles for kids, Hanuska and Pavelka realized that there was a gap in the market. They couldn't find a bottle that ticked all the boxes, so they decided to create their own. Inspired by their own kids, they set out to design a bottle that would not only be functional but also fun and engaging for children.
What sets IQBottles apart from other reusable water bottles for kids is their exclusive design and construction. The bottles feature interchangeable silicone parts, including caps, hair, hands, and skirts, that can be easily converted by children. This allows kids to change the bottle characters and create their own unique designs. All the silicone parts and stickers can be bought separately, giving each bottle model its own distinct character.
The IQBottles are made using blow-blowing and injection-blowing processes, ensuring a high-quality and durable product. The bottle components are made with polypropylene, a fully recycled material, with special additives to keep the bottle resistant to bacteria and molds. The silicone parts are made from high-quality food-grade silicone, ensuring the safety of the bottles for contact with food.
IQBottles come in a compact size of 65mmx65mmx220mm, making them perfect for little hands. The packaging measures 110mmx84mmx320mm, ensuring easy storage and transportation. The materials used in the bottles are non-toxic, free from phthalates, plasticizers, BPA, and BPS, making them safe for children to use.
But IQBottles is not just about functionality and design. The bottles also aim to improve children's approach to drinking in a playful way. With the variable components and stickers, children can create characters that can be further modified. Thematic components, such as superheroes, animals, and more, are also available. The bottles can be washed in a dishwasher and even boiled in boiling water, ensuring easy and hygienic cleaning.
The IQBottles project started in 2013 in Bratislava and was completed in 2017. It was first introduced at the FOR TOYS 2017 exhibition in Prague, Czech Republic, where it won second place for the best innovative product for children. The bottles have been tested by the designer's family and external survey participants, showing a significant improvement in children's drinking regime by over 33%.
IQBottles have also received recognition in the design world. They were awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Baby, Kids, and Children's Products Design category in 2018. This prestigious award is bestowed upon outstanding and creatively ingenious designs that contribute to quality of life improvements. IQBottles' incorporation of best practices in art, science, design, and technology makes it a true game-changer in the industry.
With IQBottles, Peter Hanuska and Miroslav Pavelka have created a product that not only meets the functional needs of parents but also engages and excites children. These reusable water bottles for kids are not just bottles; they are a gateway to creativity and healthy hydration habits.
